Avila Beach is a quaint, family-friendly coastal town, often overlooked along the Central Coast. It is located on Highway 101 just south of San Luis Obispo. The people are friendly and the pace is laid back, but there is plenty to do here.

Shady tree-lined roads amidst rolling hills lead to the beautiful sand beaches and bay of Avila Beach. The town is sheltered from the wind and fog and the water here is usually at least ten degrees warmer than the more popular beaches just to the north, causing some to claim that Avila Beach has the best weather on the Central Coast.

The beach is perfect for strolling, sunbathing or exploring. The bay views are spectacular and changes with the seasons. A popular golf destination, Avila Beach is home to the championship Avila Beach Resort Golf Course which is adjacent to the ocean. There are special events and festivals year round, and be sure to check out the Avila Beach Fish & Farmers Market on Friday evenings, which is a great way to meet the locals.
